Fletcher Newton is a seasoned expert in the nuclear fuel industry with extensive experience across all stages of nuclear fuel marketing and production, from uranium mining, conversion, and enrichment, to fuel fabrication. During his more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry, he has held leadership roles, including as President of Cameco’s US uranium operations, oversight of Cameco’s Inkai joint venture with Kazatomprom, senior marketing responsibility for Uranium One, Inc., and is currently President of Tenex-USA, the US subsidiary of JSC TENEX in Moscow. Fletcher has a thorough understanding of all issues related to uranium mining, conversion, enrichment, and fabrication, and has overseen major projects in the U.S., Kazakhstan, and Russia. He is well-versed in the complexities of uranium pricing, environmental management, and the complicated and often misunderstood processes involved in producing and marketing nuclear fuel.
